The Lottery

This prose centers on the traditional habits in a village that loves to play a lottery at the summer. It began with the description of the summer day when people generally take a long vacation during summer, in the contrary the people in this village had to do an unusual custom that was hitting somebody by stones until he or she died. It was a contradiction between the setting and the story because it described the not-liberty feeling of the villagers by the sunny day which has a lot of happiness sense.

Twilight Saga: New Moon

This essay discusses the review of an adaptation movie, New Moon (2010) which is directed by the same director as the first sequel’s (Twilight) Chris Weitz. Over all the story centered on a teenager girl Isabela Swan (Kristen Stewart) who was loved by not only a werewolf Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) but also by a vegetarian vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson). That found her difficult in choosing one of those creatures. It is assumed, that she loved Edward and Jacob, either. The good is that brought the story to be a dramatic romance with unpredictable end. Apart from being good unpredictable end, this sequel has some points to be criticized.

A Rose for Emily

A rose for Emily is one of Faulkner’s masterpieces talks about a black woman who is mysterious and always conceals something from her neighborhood. This story is initiated on the Emily’s funeral which can be the revelation of all her secrets. From the first paragraph, it can be inferred that men is more respect to her funeral while the women is out of curiosity to know what Emily had kept in the part of her life.

Commentary Writing (Machine 2: Tak Pernah Berfikir Untuk Tak Pulang)

Machine 2: Tak Pernah Berfikir Untuk Tak Pulang is one of theatrical performance made by Teater Lakon UPI which was presented in Amphitheatre Building in UPI at April 2011. Teater Lakon is an organization which had got many achievements in national level and has a prestige reputation in theatre festival. Their performance of Machine 2: Tak Pernah Berfikir Untuk Tak Pulang will be presented in theater festival in Palembang. In this commentary writing, the elements of the performance which will be commented is the plot.
This performance which was totally made by Teater Lakon itself has the moral value about the current issue happening in most all over the world, modernization. Sapta, a man lived in a village with his mother and his father. He lived modestly but a city man tricked on him to send him working at the city. Sapta who was innocent accepted his offer and then he moved to the city and left his parents. Living in the city was different from living in the village at all. People were very consumptive and they lived in a strict schedule, so did Sapta. The performance was symbolic because it has extraordinary opening, Sapta was bound by many rope. It can be considered as a symbol of his life in the city which was strict and serious.

waah saya gag serius kok sama definisi yang saya buat sendiri di atas =P itu 100% hanya untuk iseng,,hhe. isu yang ingin saya tumpahkan hari ini adalah politik sederhana yang selain ada di bangku pemerintahan sono, ternyata banyak terjadi juga di lingkungan edukatif.

Naturalism in America Literature Period

Naturalism period appeared in 1890s-1950s, its manifest mostly on fiction in United States. Naturalism period is the continuation of Realism period which added determinism and pessimistic. The term of Naturalism first came from Emile Zola-a France artist-and some authors were influenced by his masterpieces, such as Noris and London. While American Literature on Realism period concentrated in literature technique, literature in Naturalism period illustrated the philosophical human science. They were skeptical on the explanation for human behavior in natural science exclusively of the human society. Emile Zola believed that human’s character could be identified by how they act with the others people and how they adapted in a new society. He also researched character of human might be governed by their environment.

Saya sangat bersyukur telah diberi kesempatan untuk berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat yang diadakan oleh Himpunan Mahasiswa Bahasa Inggris tahun ini, karena itulah saya dapat melihat sisi lain dari kehidupan yang saya tahu. Dimana manusia masih menjunjung tinggi solidaritas dan kehidupan sosial, dimana kepentingan umum masih didahulukan sebelum kepentingan individu.

Hal terpenting yang saya dapat setelah mengikuti kegiatan ini adalah, saya belajar untuk berbagi. Memberi apa yang kiranya bisa membangun suatu kelompok masyarakat walaupun itu hanya delapan hari. berbagi dalam bidang pendidikan, kesehatan, sandang, pangan, dll. akan tetapi, seperti yang telah Kang Gellar pesankan pada kami, *di sini kita berbagi, berbagi yang tidak hanya memberi tapi juga menerima* dan ternyata kata-kata itu memang benar, di sana kami-pun banyak belajar dari kehidupan warga Babakan Limus yang tentram dan tawadhu.

Some Cases of Doping Athletes in Football

Doping phenomena were almost being inseparable partner with the sport competition. Why partner?? A kind of doping is blood-doping which take the athlete’s blood in a fit condition and re-inject it to the athlete’s body itself shortly before the competition begin. However, we find many doping methods so far. Sometimes the athlete used cocaine, PRP (platelet rich plasma) technique, etc. Nowadays, although FIFA had denied this alternative way, some athletes still did it to boost his physical endurance during the competition. mulai sekarang kayaknya blog saya bakal dipenuhi oleh bekas-bekas tugas kuliah (maksudnya tugas-tugas kuliah yang sayang banget untuk dibuang) =P
Naah, maka dari itulah daripada disimpen di zipdisk atau komputer sementara saya punya hobi ternak virus di kedua media penyimpanan tersebut dan memberi kemungkinan pada data-data saya untuk terinfeksi virus-virus yang tidak bertanggung jawab, jadi mending saya simpan di blog (gua pinter kan, gan).
Lagipula siapa tahu tugas-tugas saya yang (mungkin) layak dibaca ini bisa bermanfaat bagi penulis pada khususnya dan pada pembaca pada umumnya :D

By the way, saya pernah mendapat tugas me'review film The Lovely Bones, mungkin pembaca sekalian sudah akrab dengan film adaptasi ini atau juga mungkin anda sudah membaca bukunya??
Kalau boleh jujur film ini bisa dibilang mempunyai issue-issue yang menarik sekali untuk di kritik. Namun secara keseluruhan film yang dibintangi oleh Saoirse Ronan ini mengambil tema yang tidak pasaran dan unik. Selanjutnya saya pake bahasa Inggris ya (Let's use English as your second language ^.^)
